The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) seeks a detail-oriented CPA to join its Finance and Accounting team as the Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting. The Director is accountable for the effective daily operations and results of the accounting function including cash receipts and disbursements, accounts receivable, month-end closing, financial statement preparation and reporting, year-end closing, budget preparation, subsidiary entity accounting, audit coordination, and assisting with tax and information returns. This leader also has supervisory responsibilities and will assist in the search, selection, and implementation of a new accounting software system.
Ideal candidates will offer a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a minimum of seven years of accounting/financial analysis experience, and technical accounting skills as it relates to non-profits. An active CPA is required. This position requires substantive knowledge of GAAP with skills in forecasting, financial planning and strategy, dealing with complex financial matters, understanding and managing processes, and reporting research results.
