The Sr. Accountant will partner with the segment business and finance teams to analyze and record revenue and related cost activities in accordance with U.S GAAP. This role reports to the Manager of North America Revenue Accounting and will have regular interaction with the Segment Controller.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with the preparation of detailed analysis of balance sheet fluctuations and trends
Develop schedules and insights for forecasting/planning and external reporting
Assist with revenue contract reviews and analysis
Perform analysis of revenue recognition during the monthly accounting close
Assist with review of journal entries and reconciliations performed by the shared service accounting team to certify compliance with accounting policy
Assist with audit requests for external and internal auditors
Special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications / Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Masters in Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
4+ years public company accounting experience or 3+ years auditing public companies preferred
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Experience with ASC 606 preferred
Ability to communicate analytical data and accounting concepts to others
Ability to successfully handle multiple, complex, and time-sensitive tasks and issues
Ability to take initiative
Ability to analyze data, solve problems, think strategically, and make recommendations for decisions
Ability to contribute effectively in team environment
Demonstrated attention to detail and concern for quality
Strong computer proficiencies in Microsoft Office products
Oracle EBS, RevPro and Blackline experience preferred but not required
