Waud Capital Partners (WCP), a private equity investment firm founded in 1993 with more than $1.8 billion of regulatory assets under management, seeks a Corporate Staff Accountant to report directly to the Corporate Controller.
Assist the Corporate Controller with the day-to-day financial accounting and reporting for three operating entities and four limited partnerships which serve as the General Partner to the fund entities
Weekly processing of Accounts Payable
Reviewing and processing employee expense reports
Allocating charges on the corporate card
Monthly timesheet review and invoice preparation related to one of the operating entities
Quarterly portfolio company billings
Responsible for cash management and online banking, including bank deposits, bank reconciliations and wire transfers
Assist with the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and budget
Assist with special projects as required
Undergraduate degree in Accounting with CPA preferred
0-1 year relevant accounting experience
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated and ability to work as part of a team or independently; ability to prioritize and execute multiple responsibilities and maintain a flexible attitude while working within a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Excel
Experience with QuickBooks would be preferred, but not necessary
