Virgata Property is seeking a CPA with public accounting (minimum 5 years) and real estate accounting experience for 20 hours per week.
Quickbooks - set up new entities; enter monthly accounting activity; format financial statements; perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial reports for senior partners and lenders.
Real Estate Accounting - prepare yearly CAM reconciliations with tenant follow up; perform financial analysis of income and expenses providing explanations to tenants; record purchase and sell of land/buildings from closing statements; properly classify capital vs expense items; maintain rent rolls, tenant leases and debt schedules; prepare financial reports and distribute to lenders; assist in loan applications; monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants and perform basic excel functions.
Year End - prepare financial statements for the tax accountant (ensure note balances, interest expense and escrow accounts tie to respective year end statements and ensure accumulated depreciation ties to prior year tax returns); prepare and distribute 1099's and distribute K-1's.
