Tax Manager, Investment Management (Multiple Positions), PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, San Jose, CA. Provide tax consulting and compliance services to investment partnerships and regulated investment companies regarding the structure of the investment fund, the fund management company and trading strategies. Research tax issues and write memorandum. Participate in project planning, administration and economics including budgeting, staffing, billing and time analysis.
Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise. Establish and maintain client relationships and understand the client’s business needs. Define resource requirements and project workflow.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field, plus 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive, related work experience; OR a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field, plus 3 years of related work experience.
Must have at least one year of experience in/with each of the following:
- Consulting for investment partnerships, including hedge funds, mutual funds and private equity funds;
- Structuring funds and fund management companies to best limit tax liability; and
- Applying alternate investment strategies and vehicles; and
- Conducting tax research.
Must have one of the following certifications: CPA, Enrolled Agent or Member of the Bar, or foreign equivalent.
Travel required up to 80% of the time.
