The Financial Reporting Accountant is a key business partner that is responsible for developing and enhancing financial reports to improve management’s ability to make well-informed, timely decisions. The Financial Reporting Accountant will prepare the annual financial statements and be the primary audit contact for the audit. As part of the audit, the position will also be responsible for updating year-end valuations for the private equity funds, hedge funds, and private real-estate funds based on information obtained from external parties. In addition, the position will assist with any supplementary reports requested by management or trustees. The position will work alongside the Manager of Financial Reporting and will gain exposure to each of GuideStone’s lines of business and to personnel at all levels.
What you will do:
Prepare monthly financial statements
Prepare the annual report, including related disclosures
Gather support from various lines of business for interim testing and annual audit
Update year-end valuation for private equity funds, hedge funds, and private real-estate funds by obtaining support from external parties
Oversee audit confirmation process
Interface with external auditors
Other projects and responsibilities my be assigned
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA or CPA Candidate
1-3 years in audit, financial reporting, or accounting
Experience with registered mutual funds and/or alternative investment preferred
Exceptional analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and present data accurately and concisely
Ability to manage multiple projects and set required priorities in order to maximize efficiency
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
