Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. Leads financial close and consolidation activities and coordinates preparation of financial statements. Supervises preparation of SEC filings using the general ledger system and financial statement preparation software. Reviews journal entries and financial statement work papers. Compiles and analyzes financial information to maintain and update financial analysis packages for senior management. Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income. May design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree in related field and 10-years of relevant professional experience; 8 years with Masters.
Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent (i.e. Chartered Accountant) • Auditing experience with a large national or regional CPA firm • SEC Reporting experience in either an audit role within a CPA firm or a corporate external reporting role • Experience with XBRL • Strong technical skills and analytical capabilities. • Proven problem solving and decision making skills. • Strong interpersonal skills (verbal, written, presentation). • Ability to work independently.
