NYU seeks a Global Tax Compliance Analyst to assist the schools and units with important compliance and coordination activities for tax activities outside the New York campus including analyzing third party service provider reports to detail optimal tax withholding strategies and determining the type of registration to be executed to avoid/limit accounting/tax reporting requirements. Liaise with other University offices such as the Office of General Counsel, Office of Global Services, Global Programs Office, University Human Resources, Insurance, Controller's Division, Treasury, and Public Safety to ensure activities outside of the New York campus are conducted in accordance with US, University and local regulations. Liaise with third party providers as necessary to ensure service are rendered as expected and assist with the resolution of complex issues. Liaise with the Global Programs Office and representatives of Global Sites to confirm all required tax filings have been submitted timely and accurately. Provide tax support as necessary including assisting Human Resources, Global Programs Office, Program Services Office, and the Global sites.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Preferred Education: Master's degree in Accounting, Tax or relevant field.
Required Experience: 3 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with dealing with foreign tax issues.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Expert knowledge of a variety of software applications including database and spreadsheet software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Prosystem, Advanced Microsoft Office skills, Workday.
