Kaufman Rossin currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Cost Segregation Professional to join our Tax practice, in Boca Raton. Our cost segregation practice is growing and we need someone to grow with us. We have a growth opportunity for an experienced, detail oriented, independent, Cost Segregation professional. You will work closely with a dedicated group of engineers and tax experts in our Tax group.
Assist in managing/performing cost segregation and fixed asset studies from start to finish
Coordinate and collect information from building owners, architects, engineers and contractors
Provide detailed cost analysis of commercial/industrial building projects
Make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities
Planning income tax items for budgeting and cash flow
Perform quantity surveys from construction documents and physical site inspections
Analyze construction cost data and design drawings
Estimate construction costs using nationally recognized costing sources
Determining appropriate tax objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in decision making with client’s management to understand the broader impact of current decisions
Assist with review process
Assist with new client identification and cost segregation study proposals
Actively contribute to the development of the cost segregation practice
Strong mentoring, training and staff development skills
Undergraduate degree in Construction or Civil Engineering
1-3 years of Cost Segregation experience within a public accounting environment, preferred
Estimating experience, preferred
Excellent verbal communication and strong technical writing skills
Effectively meet and exceed client needs/expectations
Enjoy complex and challenging project work and willing to work on a variety of strategic, financial, and operational projects
This position may require some local and national travel
