We are currently seeking a Controller to assist the Chief Financial Officer in directing the organization’s accounting and finance functions.
Job Duties: The Controller will be responsible for the organization's day-to-day accounting and financial operations, which includes the following:
Managing Accounting functions including Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Credit/Collections
Supervision and development of accounting staff by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising excellent job results
Preparing staff payroll and commission statements.
Month-end general ledger analysis and close
Payroll and sales tax compliance
Coordinating year-end close with external auditors
Additional assignments as deemed necessary
Experience & Skills Required:
Minimum of 7 years' management experience at a multi-location business service organization with revenues in excess of $75 million.
Advanced knowledge and experience in a multi-state payroll environment
Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
Ability to communicate clearly and in a positive manner
Must be able to write reports and business correspondence, and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public.
Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university/college
