JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the employee will be responsible for the company’s accounting practices and processes, preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements, other management reports, and maintenance of internal control systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for preparation and publication of consolidated financial statements • Oversee, review and publish monthly consolidated and consolidating financials consistent with GAAP • Work with Finance to assure financial information is available for optimal analytical reporting • Work with external auditors to plan and oversee annual audit, audited financials and annual report • Work with Tax Director to assure financial information is available for optimal federal and state income tax law compliance • Present financials at Pillar, Committee and Board meetings
Responsible for preparation and publication of consolidated financial budget • Oversee, review and publish annual consolidated and consolidating budgets • Review subsidiary budgets • Present Budget at Pillar, Committee and Board meetings
Assure protection of company assets • Assist CFO in all aspects of risk management • Oversee maintenance of fixed asset records • Monitor internal controls and compliance with policy at corporate and subsidiary levels
Supervise Corporate Accounting staff and provide support to Subsidiary Accounting staff • Establish policies and procedures to assure efficient processing of accounting data, information flow, and appropriate level of internal controls • Responsible for the training and development of staff • Work closely with and provide support to subsidiary accounting personnel
Project and monitor cash flow • Work with company management, subsidiary managers, and other staff to project and manage cash flow • Supervise the process of cash collection and disbursement and assure proper accounting of all transactions
Additional Responsibilities • Calculate and coordinate distributions to shareholders • Work with other members of the Finance team for long-term financial planning • Under the direction of the CFO, serve as management contact of Budget and Audit Committee • Maintain company records in accordance to ANCSA regulations • Oversee management of corporate consolidating software • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required • Ten years of progressively responsible accounting experience • Five years in a management position • Certified Public Accountant
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.
