This newly created position focuses on tax compliance and planning, with no immediate supervisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate works well independently and takes ownership of their area of responsibility, is resourceful with a network to draw upon, and is willing to assist as needed across the Accounting department.
Work with CPA firm to prepare and file Federal and International tax returns
Prepare and file SALT tax returns in-house
Monitor compliance with tax laws and regulations in multiple tax jurisdictions
Identify tax strategies and execute tax planning
Remain fully informed of recent developments in all tax areas
Institute formal tax processes
Advise on tax accounting and assist accounting staff to respond to customers
Support international contract review
Research tax questions from staff and customers
75% of time on tax and 25% on general accounting
Five or more years' direct experience in corporate, Federal, and SALT taxes
CPA license required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Familiarity with ERISA and ACA
Experience in CCH IntelliConnect, Fixed Asset Manager, and/or SAP preferred
Individual must possess authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
