As a member of the Okmulgee Plant Finance Team you will have responsibility to safeguard the plant assets. In this role you will provide financial support and analysis to the Plant Management Team related to the cost of goods sold, variances to budget, and assist with invested capital analysis. Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger accounts. Be a business partner with the OKM Team and Biogums Finance Team.
Maintain integrity of fixed assets ledger and inventory records to ensure compliance with company policy.
Month-end closing responsibilities.
Expense monitoring and analysis.
General ledger account reconciliations.
Lead monthly physical inventory and post adjustments for raw materials.
Capital Project closing, asset set-up, and asset cycle counting.
Assist with internal & external audits; provide relevant and accurate information to auditors.
Assist with annual budget and strategic plan efforts.
Create purchase requisitions and check requests as needed.
Support/Share with our sister plant finance teams and corporate finance team.
Support plant safety initiatives.
Ensure compliance to US GAAP and provide advice to plant personnel on proper accounting treatments.
Your background should include:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration or Finance with an emphasis in Accounting will also be considered.
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, especially knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and a high degree of basic computer skills/knowledge/aptitude in general.
Good problem-solving/decision-making skills.
Excellent organization and record keeping skills.
Proactive team player.
Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently.
Self-starter who can work independent of constant supervision.
Must be able to communicate effectively with many departments.
Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast paced environment
Experience in SAP and/or Standard Cost Accounting preferred.
