You will join an established practice; we are not recruiting you to sell products. We want you to help us take care of our existing clients.
You are a mid-career CPA or CFP with management experience and deep knowledge of personal finances. You are accustomed to showing up on time and working hard when you are at the office. You are self-motivated and keep an owner’s mindset – you are not simply an employee punching the clock, you “own” projects and take pride in seeing them completed perfectly and on time. To do this, you must be meticulous, detail-oriented, tactful, discrete, reliable and 100% trustworthy. You must radiate professional poise, demonstrating the ability to work under stress and deal with clients who are under stress. You have tremendous interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Work as an integral member of a client service team delivering a comprehensive array of wealth management services
Communicate, both written and verbal, directly with client and client professionals
Develop presentation materials for client, prospect and professional advisor meetings
Manage input of client financial data into portfolio management software (such as E-Money and Morningstar); verify accuracy, and ensure the highest quality of all reports
Organize client financial data into comprehensive proposals and reports
Prepare all forms required for client signature or account maintenance (account opening, transfers, etc.)
Attend client meetings in a technical, support, or learning role
Work with smaller clients who request guidance about their financial planning and investments
Aid in portfolio/client management, including scheduling review meetings and completing recurring tasks
Work proactively, consistently seek new opportunities to assist in planning more effectively by defining best practices and identifying high impact activities
Become FINRA Series 7 licensed within 6 months
Become insurance licensed within 9 months
Comprehensive understanding of personal financial planning, including retirement planning, employee benefits, insurance, investment vehicles, asset allocation, estate planning, income tax and executive compensation
Work without close supervision, prioritize multiple deliverables, and proactively solve problems
Desire to thrive in a fun, collaborative, small-office environment
Be highly organized, detail oriented and able to multitask with a client service focus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other related field preferred
CPA, CFP®, or similar designations preferred
