Responsible for supporting and conducting Section Operational Audits. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting business process, financial, risk, compliance and operational assessments. This position requires a significant amount of travel throughout the United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to):
Assist with audit planning, documentation and assessment of internal controls.
Perform audit procedures, including conducting walkthroughs, reviewing and analyzing evidence, documenting processes and procedures, and identifying and defining issues.
Communicate audit results effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Assist in the preparation of the draft reports for issues identified and discussed with the Sections’ Management.
Assist in the evaluation of completeness of the Sections’ corrective action plans.
Review the status of outstanding audit issues and follow up with the Sections’ Management.
Support internal audit initiative and projects as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Two years of public accounting and/or private industry, to include proven experience conducting either internal audits or external audits
Not-for-profit experience is a plus
Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus
CPA or CIA designation preferred
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Job Knowledge/Technology: Must have a solid understanding of Internal Audit processes. Must have strong understanding of accounting processes and procedures as well as process flow. A demonstrated understanding of MS Office Suite with an emphasis in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Full-time position located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Potentially remote with stipulations.
