The candidate will support the group’s team members in all aspects of the business, from business development through transaction execution and portfolio management. The individual’s primary activities and responsibilities will revolve around the transaction process for new investments, which involves preparing relevant industry and company analysis, building financial models, drafting investment memoranda, raising debt capital and performing extensive due diligence activities. More specifically, the following roles are emphasized for this position:
Develop and present materials in support of investment opportunities.
Complete financial models.
Draft investment memoranda.
Analyze operational forecasts and budgets.
Assess asset and cash flow quality.
Perform valuation calculation and analysis.
Perform industry and market research.
Participate in firm marketing and business development.
Minimum two years’ experience in accounting, commercial banking, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, and/ or financial planning & analysis.
Proven track record of leadership, achievement and integrity.
Comfort in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic in an industry with non-conventional work hours and scheduling.
Strict attention to detail and organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Willingness to travel.

The firm employs a strategy that involves acquiring or investing in manufacturing, distribution and service businesses in need of a hands-on investor and building the business over a long-term time horizon. The firm currently manages a portfolio of twelve active platform investments and closes three to six transactions per year.
