Prepare assigned segments of the monthly Collections Technical Accounting closing, including processing debtor and attorney receipts into the IMX Collections sub ledger, processing daily fee receipts in the Traverse Accounts Receivable module, preparation of monthly bad debt analysis, reconciliation of IMX Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Opcode files to Traverse month end reports, JE’s, account reconciliations, financial analyses, IMX, Access database and Traverse bug fix testing, and coordination with the Insurance Technical Accounting and Customer Accounting teams.
Prepare assigned segments of the monthly Claim Accounting closing, including processing all transactions into the Cadre+ sub ledger, preparation of quarterly bad debt analysis, reconciliation of SAP claim/loss reserve interface file to month end reports, JE’s, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and Cadre+ bug fix testing.
Perform coordination between the insurance and collection companies to maintain accurate IMX to Cadre+ data feeds and daily ACH reconciliation.
Responsible for various bank reconciliation research efforts, coordinating with the GL, Reporting, and Investments team, Customer Accounting, and Insurance Technical Accounting team for timely resolution of reconciling items.
Prepare documentation as requested by auditors and regulators.
2 to 4 years work experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree. Public Accounting experience, Advanced degree or CPA a plus.
Accounting and technical know-how, basis for understanding of accounting, and advanced technical systems. Work in SAP environment preferred.
Ability to design, test, interface and reconcile large amounts of data/calculations between complex and highly technical systems
Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP accounting rules.
Proficient in Excel with expert knowledge of pivot tables and advanced formulas
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, high volume setting, thanks to strong organizational, time management, and coordination skills.
Ability to work successfully within a Regional and Group Team.
High level of initiative, flexible, self-starter, highly accountable.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
