The Financial Reporting Senior Accountant supports the external and internal financial reporting process’ through the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and internal business reports with supporting documentation. Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting follows Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and the company’s accounting policies. Assists external auditors and special projects as needed.
Participate in the accurate and timely preparation of SEC and external filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and earnings releases.
Assist with the preparation of internal business reports including quarterly forecasts, the annual budget and long-range plan to be presented to the Board of Directors.
Analyze financial statement fluctuations as they relate to prior year, forecast and budget, identifying root causes for variances and resolution of any issues.
Recommend and implement improvements to existing systems, work processes and procedures
Prepare benefit plan financial statements, including the Form 11-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Support internal and external audit and review procedures including maintaining SOX compliance documentation and providing explanations/supporting schedules to the internal and external audit teams.
Perform technical accounting research, inclusive of evaluating new GAAP or SEC reporting requirements. Transform research into summarized results for management to understand impact to Rayonier.
BS in Accounting and have an active CPA
3 years of accounting experience
Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines and turnaround requests in high-pressure, time-constrained situations.

Working knowledge of excel, word and basic general ledger skills.
